Zachary Keeting
derecho
you are my shadow on the snow
spontaneous composition
only sad beauty was beauty
sculptor
balm for the sour
as black as the black in your eyes
fog hides the flame
aiming for the end
a sulphur sky over a sea of clouds
calamity has come on you my brethren, and my brethren, you deserved it
groans in the rocky ribs
don’t cry on the ballot
the defeated
climbing superstition
inscribed my love in the complaint book
aerial eel
watery sunshine yellows the square
a soft low voice says thunder
sirocco
broken loose
flute-notes of the cruelest sweetness
light writes white
fever crusted lips
and so little by little he began to go wrong in the head
sour lake
touch the world goodbye
mush-flesh and flow
downward sinks the raven
the rush of our breathing changes the air
double aura
